 What is a soccer district?

A youth soccer district is made up of clubs from a geographical area. Westminster District consists of Soccer Clubs in the cities of New Westminster, Port Moody, Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam(West of the Coquitlam River.

The objective of the WDYSA and members is to foster and promote the game of soccer to all boys aged 5 to 18 years within its area.

The District is a member of the British Columbia Soccer Association. That is how the clubs are affiliated with BSCA and so on to FIFA. The District coordinates the clubs, registers the kids with BCSA and finds leagues for the teams to play. The District also handles any red card infractions and referee issues.
